Delegates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) visited the NRFU

Delegates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Mrs. Yuliya Kukharenko and Mr. Michael Leskiv, who specialize in creating and managing large international programs, visited the NRFU. The meeting was also attended by Viktor Dosenko and Serhiy Kolotilov, members of the Scientific Council, the management of the NRFU Directorate and Roman Hryschuk, a Member of Parliament.

The meeting was planned, so its main purpose was not to establish contacts but to discuss practical issues.

American colleagues aimed to study the needs of the NRFU as a grant agency, the specifics of call procedures and project budgeting, as well as to share their experience in attracting non-budgetary funding for research at MIT.

For our part proposals for American colleagues includes, in particular, those of financial support for the winning projects of the NRFU calls, institutional support for the Foundation’s activities, informational support for the Foundation and our grantees, as well as the involvement of researchers representing the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in reviewing of projects that will be submitted to the Foundation’s calls.

We express our gratitude to all participants of the meeting, and especially we thank the foreign guests who found the opportunity to come to Ukraine under these extremely dangerous circumstances. This proves the high motivation and determination to help the Ukrainian scientific community, and it gives us hope that true friends and advocates of an effective approach visited the Foundation today.
