2nd International Conference “Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2023” #OSICU2023

The State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in partnership with TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library has the honor to invite you to the IInd International Conference “Open science and innovation in Ukraine 2023”, which will be held on October 26-27, 2023 in the online format. Sponsors of the conference: Bentham Science and Clarivate.

The conference is open to all individuals involved in the scientific, managers and responsible executives of research topics, developers of scientific information platforms and systems, library managers and staff, managers of institutional repositories, and publishers of scientific journals are invited to participate in the conference; graduate students and young scientists, project managers, business incubator managers, startup co-organizers, heads and members of library associations, and anyone else who wants to join the discussion.

Registration is open until September 26, 2023 at the link.

The main directions of the conference correspond to the main tasks and activities of the National Plan for Open Science, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on October 8, 2022, No. 892-p:

  • Development and Support of Open National Research Infrastructure
  • Reforming Practices of Scientific Research Evaluation
  • Ensuring Open Access to Research Results
  • Open Research Data and Reproducibility of Scientific Research
  • Citizen Science: Development, Barriers, and Opportunities for Ukrainian Citizen’s Involvement in Scientific and scientific-technical Research in Ukraine
  • Innovations in Ukraine: Opening New Horizons.

The conference is set to host distinguished international experts such as the leadership of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, who play a vital role in shaping open access policy. The list of speakers includes renowned scientists and experts in various fields including scientometrics, librarianship, open data, academic integrity, and open science. The conference proceedings will be peer-reviewed and published by Bentham Science Books, in compliance with the terms and conditions set on the official conference website.
