We are pleased to inform you that the Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine has decided to launch and approved the terms and conditions of a new call for proposals for research projects ‘Excellent Science in Ukraine 2026-2028’.
The purpose of the call for proposals is to select projects for collective grants for advanced fundamental research which involve the formulation and solution of urgent scientific problems by teams of leading and early career researchers in response to current challenges and demands of Ukrainian society to ensure Ukraine’s competitiveness in the world, to promote the development of national research potential and integration into the global research area.
The thematic areas of the projects are to correspond to the priority areas of science and technology development (in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 3 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Priority Areas of Science and Technology Development’ (https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/2623-14#Text) and at least one of the thematic areas outlined for basic research on the most important problems of development of scientific, technical, socio-economic, socio-political, human potential to ensure Ukraine’s competitiveness in the world and sustainable development of society and the state (in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of April 30, 2024 No. 476 (https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/476-2024-%D0%BF#Text).
The projects are expected to be implemented in 2026-2028.
Applications are to be submitted from April 25, 2025, 00:01 to May 28, 2025, 23:59 (Kyiv time).
