Traditionally, Science Day in Ukraine is celebrated on the third Saturday of May.

Ukraine is a country of strong, courageous, and resilient people. Today, we congratulate Ukrainian scientists – those who continue to work, conduct research, seek solutions, and make new discoveries even in the most challenging times.

Ukrainian science is not only about knowledge.
It is about resilience. About responsibility. About the future of Ukraine.

In 2022, when funding for many scientific projects was suspended and redirected to the state’s urgent needs and support for Ukraine’s defense, our grantees did not stop. Despite the loss of funding, danger, evacuation, destruction of infrastructure, and the daily challenges of the full-scale war, they continued their research. And they continue their work today.

Every study carried out during wartime has special value. Every scientist who remains in the profession and works for Ukraine contributes to our resilience, development, and victory.

The National Research Foundation of Ukraine is proud of Ukrainian scientists and grateful to everyone who, despite all challenges, continues to shape the future of Ukrainian science.
