UK-Ukraine Research Twinning Showcase and Networking

Following the successful conference «The Digital Theme UK-Ukraine Research Twinning Conference» last year, the University of Liverpool, UK, is organising it again in Liverpool on 27-28 of March 2025. The event will contain presentations from various organisations including UUK/UUKi/UKRI/Research England/British Council/CCG/ Ukrainian Science Diaspora/ Springer in addition to about 25-30 short presentations from universities twinned pairs UK/Ukraine and will run a poster session for in-person participants.

The primary purpose of this event is to help academics at Ukrainian Universities and Research institutes to integrate into the international research network by bringing . together leaders of academic research projects, representatives from research organisations, and funders and philanthropic representatives. This will help to facilitate direct connections and collaborations with the academic community, ultimately enhancing UK-Ukraine research endeavours.

Within the UK-Ukraine Networking and Research Twinning Showcase 2025 the topics of presentions include  (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Innovative research programs with Ukraine
  • Reports on joint research activities and projects
  • Developed joint grant applications and calls for collaboration
  • Bilateral and international research network development
  • Co-supervision, research support and academic mentoring
  • Research partnership initiatives and interdisciplinary projects
  • Sustainable reconstruction of post-war Ukraine

The event is expected to inspire and provide valuable insights for establishing new forms of research cooperation between Ukraine and the UK.
