The objective of the Ukrainian Visitor Program (UVP) is to provide a temporary safe haven for Ukrainian researchers in the mathematical sciences who are in distress due to the invasion of Ukraine by the russian army at the end of February 2022. The UVP supports these Ukrainian researchers to temporarily continue their research in a secure and welcoming environment at the Sydney Mathematical Research Institute in Sydney, Australia.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis (in English).

There are opportunities for both individual and group projects lasting from 2 weeks up to 6 months.

SMRI will ensure that decisions on applications are made on an ongoing and timely basis, and will provide support for expedited visa applications by successful applicants to the program.
