Information event “Info-Day” and the Event to disseminate information to other target groups in Lviv: Day II

The Information event organized by the team of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU in Lviv within the HEOinUA project continues. On March 27, an event was held to disseminate information to other target groups. This day was devoted exclusively to the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe, its features and practical aspects of participation in it.

Igor Taranov, PhD in Economics, the Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, began with a welcome speech. He also presented the practical aspects of participation in the Horizon Europe Programme from the stage of searching for a tender to submitting an application. Yulia Reminska, PhD in Law, Leading Officer of the Office, spoke in detail about the legal aspects of participation in the Programme. The speaker touched upon a very important topic for participants and potential applicants, which aroused great interest.

Olha Palekha, PhD in Economics, Leading Officer of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NFU, outlined the financial issues of participation in the Program. This point has many features and conditions and is also extremely important for those wishing to participate in the calls. Gryhoriy Naumovets, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Leading Officer of the Office, presented the opportunities and benefits of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for business to the participants of the Information event.

In addition, Nataliia Didenko, PhD in Agricultural Science, Deputy Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, provided detailed information on WIDERA (Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area), the fourth “cross-cutting” element of the Programme. Its goal is to reduce the gap between leading and lagging countries in research and development, which is a prerequisite for Ukrainian scientists, researchers and innovators in today’s challenging time.

The topic of the presentation by Tayisiya Symochko, Leading Officer of the Office, was a Practical tour of the Funding and Tenders Portal certain aspects of project proposal preparation. In addition, the speaker elaborated on the cross-cutting aspects of the Horizon Europe Programme, as she was nominated as the National Contact Point for the Horizon 2020 Programme and has extensive experience in the specifics of participation in the Framework Programmes funded by the European Union.

The day before, Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine NRFU held an “Info-Day” in Lviv, during which participants were presented not only the Horizon Europe Programme but also COST initiatives, Erasmus+ activities, Ukraine’s innovative development through the prism of the activities of the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations, the activities of the EIT Community RIS Hub in Ukraine and other international programmes. The event was organized for representatives of higher education institutions, research institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, state and local governments, and public organizations.
