The Report on the results of the second in the Series of Science Europe–NRFU Webinars: “Developing and Implementing Monitoring Tools for R&D Projects”

On November 25, 2025 the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) and Science Europe held the second webinar in their joint series “Building Capacity in the Ukrainian Research and Innovation Ecosystem”.

The webinar focused on approaches and tools for effective monitoring of R&D projects, which is strategically essential for Ukraine given the ongoing challenges (damaged infrastructure, displaced researchers, financial instability, and more). The event brought together international leading experts to share experiences from their organizations, discuss best practices, and explore practical solutions to strengthen Ukraine’s monitoring capacity and aligning reporting with European standards.

The key insights and recommendations from the event have been summarized and presented in a dedicated Webinar Report. They reflect the main discussion points and provide practical guidance on assessing project progress and impact, harmonizing reporting formats, and developing interoperable systems that support efficient, transparent, and modern research management in Ukraine.
