“2nd Assembly Meeting towards an Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment”

Today, representatives of the Scientific Council and the Directorate of the NRFU took part in a large-scale online event “2nd Assembly Meeting towards an Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment”, organized by Science Europe and the European University Association with the support of the European Commission.

The main topic of the meeting of stakeholders in the field of financing, management and implementation of research was the fundamental reform of approaches to the assessment of research in a broad sense.

Unfortunately, the concept of ‘best practices’ has not yet found its definition in Ukrainian laws. The discussion of the pillars of reforming research assessment was based on an in-depth analysis of best practices, as well as current trends which are a reflection of global processes in the scientific and academic environment.

Consultations and discussions on the terms of the agreement will continue this year. The NRFU is honored to join them at a high international professional level.
