AN EVENT DEDICATED TO THE WORLD SCIENCE DAY FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT: “RESEARCH AND INNOVATION AS A DRIVER OF UKRAINE’S INTEGRATION INTO THE GLOBAL RESEARCH AREA”

On the occasion of the World Science Day for Peace and Development, on November 12, 2025, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine invites you to join an information dissemination event “Research and Innovation as a Driver of Ukraine’s Integration into the Global Research Area”.

The event will serve as a platform for discussing the role of research and innovation in Ukraine’s integration into the European and global research area. In addition, participants will discuss the opportunities that European programs offer Ukrainian researchers and learn about successful project implementation stories – winners of the calls held by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and European programs.

Location: Kyiv

Languages of the event: English, Ukrainian (simultaneous interpretation).

Time: 10:00-14:00 (CET) / 11:00-15:00 (Kyiv time)

The event will be held in a hybrid format: you can participate in person or join online after registering.

The preliminary agenda will address the following issues:

Integration of Ukraine into the European and Global Research Areas, and Synergy of the European Programmes:

  • European Innovation Council in action – opportunities for Ukrainian researchers and entrepreneurs
  • Partner Smart: Selling Your Strengths by Seeing Theirs

Support tools within the ERC calls for proposals:

  • ERC Grants 360° – An overview of ERC funding schemes, recent updates, and additional support programmes

Ukrainian researchers’ success stories:

  • Hybrid Materials: Ways of Creation and Prospects
  • Prospects for Repurposing the Gas Transportation Network for Hydrogen in the Green Reconstruction of Ukraine
  • How Ukrainian Cities Are Building a Path towards Climate Neutrality Together with Europe: U_CAN Project
  • From National Expertise to European Cooperation: the Success Story of the IFNMU in the Project UNCAN-CONNECT

The detailed program of the event, as well as information about the venue, will be sent only to registered participants.

Registration is open until 1 p.m. (CET) / 2 p.m. (Kyiv time) by November 10, 2025.
