RIFF Information Day in Kharkiv

On January 20, 2026, the RIFF (Research Infrastructure for Future) Information Day will take place in Kharkiv.

The event will focus on the introduction of the concept of research infrastructures (RIs) as understood in the European Union, present opportunities available to Ukrainian research infrastructures under RIFF, and connect Ukrainian researchers and RI leaders across institutions to strengthen the local research community.

The key outcome of the project is the development of “Roadmap for Recovery and Enhancement of RIs in Ukraine” which is based on the ESFRI peer-review methodology and reflects also the green and digital transition priorities.

The information day in Kharkiv is part of a series of RIFF Information Days held in various cities across Ukraine with the aim to:

  • gain an overview of the EU approach to research infrastructures;
  • inform on the opportunities available to Ukrainian research infrastructures under RIFF;
  • connect Ukrainian researchers and RI leaders across institutions to strengthen the local research community.

Whether you are conducting research, managing institutes, department, laboratories or RIs, or you are a policy maker involved in research development, this event offers you an opportunity to connect with the RIFF project activities, and connect with the RI community across Ukraine and in the EU to spark future collaborations.
