Memorandum of Understanding between the NRFU and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)

The NRFU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). The MoU announces the expansion of cooperation in the field of science between the Swiss Foundation and the NRFU!

The SNSF has been supporting researchers in Ukraine since the war began. By making available 9 million Swiss francs in total, the SNSF helped about 100 scientists obtain a position in an SNSF project or a Swiss higher education institution.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to develop opportunities for close cooperation between researchers from Switzerland and Ukraine. Future initiatives may include bilateral or multilateral projects, calls, research visits, meetings, conferences, communication and other events. The Foundations will share best practices regarding assessment funding and management of research projects. All activities will be jointly developed by partner organizations.

Cooperation between the SNSF and the NRFU will open opportunities for scientific cooperation between research and higher education institutions of both countries, as well as for helping to involve our researchers in the best research practices of the European community. We express sincere gratitude to our Swiss colleagues and look forward to sustainable cooperation!
