Olga Polotska took part in a meeting of the Philanthropy Europe Association, Philea

Today an informal meeting of members of the European organization of philanthropists “Philea” took place. This time it was dedicated to Ukraine, namely the impact of the war on the research sector, the vulnerability and needs of researchers at this critical time. The Executive Director of the Foundation, Olga Polotska, took part in the meeting and joined the discussion of measures to support Ukrainian researchers during the war.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, “Philea” has organized a number of support initiatives, including the following weekly meetings. The purpose of such meetings is to help members of the organization better understand what kind of support the Ukrainian community needs. Such sessions are usually attended by representatives of approximately 50 foundations from all over Europe. The list of members of the organization can be found at the following link: https://philea.eu/membership/our-members/

In addition, “Philea” has currently created the platform “Philanthropy for Ukraine”: https://www.philanthropyforukraine.eu/

This portal unites the most relevant initiatives and calls for donations from the European philanthropic sector and the non-governmental community in Ukraine and neighbor countries.
