Olga Polotska visited the SE Autumn General Assembly

Today, on November 23, the Executive Director of the NRFU Olga Polotska visited the autumn General Assembly, which is held back-to-back with the annual ‘High Level Workshop on ERA 2022″ in Zurich co-organised by Science Europe, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation (SERI). The main topic of thi year is ‘Research Ethics and Integrity in the Context of Public Engagement’.

Science Europe supports the NRFU as a new member of the Association and involves the Foundation in the initiatives and opportunities provided by the membership, including close cooperation with the members of the Association in the implementation of Strategic Action Plans for the coming years.

As part of today’s discussions, the president of Science Europe, Marc Schiltz said about the importance of the support of Ukrainian researchers from SE member organizations. He also emphasized that it is necessary to prepare systematic measures to support research area in Ukraine after the war. At one of the meetings of the Governing Board of Science Europe, the possibilities of preparation of programs and initiatives by member organizations to assist in the reconstruction of the destroyed research infrastructure in Ukraine were discussed. We are deeply grateful to our European colleagues for their powerful support in this unprecedented war for our freedom!
