Science Europe defines support for Ukraine as one of its priorities

The ongoing war in Ukraine is causing many casualties, the displacement of millions of people, and is destroying a large amount of infrastructure in Ukraine.

Science Europe is the association representing major public organisations that fund or perform excellent, ground-breaking research in Europe. Science Europe and its Member Organisations express their solidarity with and support for ukrainian people and confirm that Ukraine is a valued member of the international research community and a strong partner of European research funding and performing organisations.

On its official website, Science Europe has published a list of statements and actions taken by its members to support Ukraine: Ukraine – Science Europe

The list is not exhaustive and is being updated as the situation evolves, as our European colleagues are constantly working on developing new support initiatives.

We remind you that in November last year the National Research Foundation of Ukraine acquired full membership in the Association under a simplified procedure and under special conditions: we were exempted from paying membership fees for 2022-2023. Read more here.

We are deeply grateful to our European colleagues for their support and help to the Ukrainian research community in this difficult time!
