ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE LAUNCH OF CALLS FOR

OBTAINING GRANTS OF THE PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE 

TO EARLY CAREER RESEARCHERS AND DOCTORS OF SCIENCE

ATTENTION! The Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine has decided to launch a competitive selection of research projects for obtaining Grants of the President of Ukraine to Early Career Researchers and Doctors of Science:

CALL 1 – Call for Grants of the President of Ukraine to support research and developments of Early Career Researchers and Doctors of Sciences (up to 40 years old inclusive) 

CALL 2 – Call for Grants of the President of Ukraine to Support Research and Developments of Early Career Researchers – Doctoral Students (up to 35 years old inclusive) 

CALL 3 – Call for Grants of the President of Ukraine to Support Research and Developments of Early Career Researchers – Doctors of Philosophy/ Candidates of Sciences (up to 35 years old inclusive) 

CALL 4 – Call for Annual Grants of the President of Ukraine for Research and Developments of Doctors of Science (up to 45 years old inclusive) 

The purpose of the Calls is to select projects to award grants for research and developments, to solve urgent issues of early career researchers and Doctors of Science, to ensure their active participation in the implementation of state policy in the field of scientific and technical activities, to preserve and develop intellectual potential. 

The goals of the Calls are the stimulation of relevant and significant research and developments of early career researchers and Doctors of Science in the priority directions of the development of research and technology in Ukraine.

Grants can be awarded both for planned research and developments, and for those that are already being held.

Thematic areas of the Calls comply with one of the areas of science and technology development (in accordance with Article 3 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Priority Areas of Science and Technology Development’): 

1) national security and defense;

2) basic research on the most important problems of the development of scientific-technical, socio-economic, socio-political, human potential to ensure Ukraine’s competitiveness in the world and sustainable development of society and the state;

3) information and communication technologies;

4) energy and energy efficiency;

5) rational nature management;

6) life sciences, new technologies for the prevention and treatment of the most common diseases;

7) new substances and materials.

The date and time of the start of submission of applications for participation in the Calls for Doctors of Sciences (up to 40 years old), for Doctoral Candidates (up to 35 years old) and for Doctors of Philosophy / Candidates of Sciences (up to 35 years old): 27.01.2025, 00:01 Kyiv time. The deadline for submitting applications: 28.02.2025, 23:59 Kyiv time. 

Date and time of the start of submission of applications for participation in the Call for Doctors of Sciences (up to 45 years old inclusive): 21.01.2025, 00:01 Kyiv time. The deadline for submitting applications: 20.02.2025, 23:59 Kyiv time.

Period of scientific and technical expertise and announcing the results of all Calls: until July 15, 2025 (tentatively).
