The NFDU’s Scientific Council Statement on letters of support

The NRFU receives letters of support from the authorities and state institutions on individual projects submitted for the first two NRFU’s calls – «Science for Human Security and Society» and «Support for Research of Leading and Young Scientists».

The NRFU informs that competitive selection of projects is held only in accordance with «The Procedure for competitive selection and financing by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine of projects for research and development», which provides independence and objectivity of scientific and technical expertise, as well as fair competition. Letters of support are not provided in the Competitive selection procedure and will not be taken into account.

Along the way, the NRFU reminds that any attempts to influence the examination procedure and the results of the competitive selection of projects create risks to the principles of independence of scientific expertise and avoidance of conflicts of interest, and are unacceptable.
