We invite you to the 3rd Seminar on building a national consensus on Open Science of the Open4UA project

As part of the third seminar, the Open4UA project team will present an institutional toolkit for implementing open science and developing research assessment, which includes:

  • a model open science policy for higher education and research institutions;

  • recommendations for drafting a research data management plan;

  • regulations on research data management for higher education and research institutions;

  • proposed changes to reporting forms to introduce new indicators for research activity assessment;

  • a job description for a research data management specialist.

In addition, we will discuss the results of the public consultation on the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Implementation of Open Science Principles” and the corresponding recommendations of the Open4UA consortium.

The seminar will also feature a presentation of the Ukrainian Reproducibility Network (UARN) – a national consortium aimed at improving research practices.

The seminar will be held online via the Zoom platform. Representatives of the Ukrainian academic community, government bodies, local authorities, and all interested parties are invited to attend (registration required). The seminar will also be live-streamed on Facebook.

This event is the third in a series of six online seminars organized by the Open4UA project (co-funded by the EU under the Erasmus+ programme). These biannual events aim to serve as a platform for building a nationwide network of open science experts and enthusiasts and for fostering progress in this area.
Recordings of previous seminars are available on the project’s YouTube channel.
The seminars are an important channel for disseminating the results of Open4UA and gathering feedback from the Ukrainian academic community and other stakeholders to jointly shape a vision for the development of open science in Ukraine.
