WEBINAR WITH OUR PARTNERS, GERMAN RESEARCH FOUNDATION (DFG)

Today (21 April 2021) was the first webinar with our German partners, German Research Foundation (DFG), that exists for over 100 years already.
During the seminar the German colleagues have shared their rich experience. The team of the Foundation singled out the following insights:
🔻 European research organizations do not consider appeals from grantees;
🔻 DFG never agrees to reallocate funds;
🔻 indirect costs of German colleagues in no case may exceed 22%;
🔻 25% of project evaluation is made by a foreign expertise, and the services of involved experts are provided free of charge.
👥 The webinar was attended by more than 30 employees of the Foundation, including representatives of the Directorate and the Scientific Council. Each member of the NRFU team had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and gain some international experience.
The discussed issues are relevant for the NRFU and our team will use the obtained information to improve the quality of the Fund’s work.
📆 Reminder: the Agreement with the DFG was signed in August 2020 and now the NRFU continues to exchange experience with German colleagues. The next meeting will be scheduled soon.
We are very grateful to the DFG staff for their fruitful cooperation and look forward to new joint projects.
