According to the decision of the Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine of January 16, 2025 (Protocol No. 2) and in accordance with clause 1. Section II of the Regulations on the Call Commission, the NRFU announces the election of Call Commissions for the following calls:
– Call for Grants of the President of Ukraine to Support Research and Developments of Early Career Researchers – Doctors of Science (up to 40 years old inclusive)
– Call for Grants of the President of Ukraine to Support Research and Developments of Early Career Researchers – Doctoral Students (up to 35 years old inclusive)
– Call for Grants of the President of Ukraine to Support Research and Developments of Early Career Researchers – Doctors of Philosophy/Candidates of Sciences (up to 35 years old inclusive)
– Call for Annual Grants of the President of Ukraine for Research and Developments of Doctors of Science (up to 45 years old inclusive)
Members of the Call Commission are elected from among recognized researchers, taking into account the following main criteria
– research degree;
– wide citation of research publications in the relevant field of research;
– high qualifications and broad experience;
– experience in conducting scientific and technical reviewing;
– impeccable professional reputation and high academic integrity (in particular, if at least two members of the Scientific Council of the Foundation’s Section have objections to a particular candidate due to reasonable doubts about his/her reputation and/or academic integrity, such candidate shall not be considered).
The Scientific Council of the Foundation’s Section may apply additional selection criteria to the candidates for the Call Commission (Panel) members to select the most qualified and experienced candidates.
To be elected to the Call Commission, a candidate is to receive more than half of the votes of the Scientific Council of the Foundation’s Section.
– Employees of the Directorate of the Foundation, members of the Scientific Council of the Foundation, the Scientific Committee of the National Council for Science and Technology Development, and their family members;
– heads or deputy heads of research institutions, organizations and institutions of higher education, as well as persons holding other full-time administrative positions above the level of the head of a structural unit (department, laboratory) of a research institution or institution of higher education;
– applicants submitting research projects for the Calls cannot be members of the Call Commissions (Panels).
All members of the Call Commissions (Panels) confirm in writing that they are familiar with the requirements of the Procedure for Review and Evaluation of Research and Development Projects Submitted to the National Research Foundation of Ukraine for Participation in Competitive Selection, the requirements of the Regulations on Compliance with the Principles of Research Ethics and Conflict of Interests Prevention during Evaluation and Competitive Selection of Projects Funded by Grant Support of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, and sign an obligation not to disclose confidential information.
Remuneration of the Call Commission (Panel) members is carried out in accordance with the Procedure for the Formation and Use of Funds of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and the Remuneration Standards for Reviewers Involved in State Scientific and Technical Review Conducted at the Expense of the State Budget.
To participate in the election of members of the Call Commissions, applicants submit personally signed application forms to the e-mail address of the Foundation, taking into account the main criteria specified in the announcement.
The application forms (personally signed) are to be submitted by the applicants from January 21, 2025 to February 03, 2025 in PDF format (sample).
