OLGA POLOTSKA IS THE NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF NRFU

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Ms. Olga Polotska Executive Director of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

On May 19, 2020, the Government dismissed the previous NRFU Executive Director, Mr. Borys Sorochynsky, at his request. According to the Regulations on the appointment of the NRFU Executive Director, Ms. Olga Polotska enjoyed the right to be appointed to the position, provided it became open within a year.

The Scientific Committee of the National Council for Development of Science and Technology considered Ms. Olga Polotskaya candidacy and approved the appointment. The Government made the final decision during its meeting on July 8th, 2020. In her role of the NRFU Executive Director, Ms. Olga Polotska will organize the foundation’s operations, technical and organizational support of competitions, provide funding for research and development under agreements concluded, etc.


Biographical reference

Olga Polotska
1997 – honors degree in philology (area of specialization – English Language and Literature; qualification: philologist, teacher of English language and literature, German language, translator) completed at Kharkiv State University.
She had worked as a teacher of English till 2000 when she started a career at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and progressed from a Lecturer to Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Head of the English Department at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. In 2008 Olga Polotska received her Ph.D. in Philological Sciences in the field of Germanic languages.
In 2011, she was granted the Associate Professor’s title. Since January 2019, she worked as Head of the Overseas Clients Department at Gryshchenko Clinic-IVF.
