A planning committee of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine organized a workshop on Rebuilding Research, Education, and Innovation in Ukraine to examine best practices in designing and managing national systems of scientific research, higher education, and innovation. Participants will include recognized experts in all three of these fields from the United States, Ukraine, and other economically and technologically advanced countries, particularly in Europe. It will examine best practices in designing and managing national systems of scientific research, higher education, and innovation with applications for Ukraine today and in the future.

  • Consider best practices that have proven sustainable over time and have created the human capacity needed for a modern, twenty-first century competitive economy.
  • Investigate how to take advantage of Ukraine’s considerable scientific and technical strengths to create a vibrant, productive, and internationally competitive economy
