  • Location: Solaris Centre, Krakow

Registration is open until 19th of June!

About the Workshop

We warmly invite you to express your interest in this hands-on foresight workshop, where R&I experts will co-create the futures of the R&I System in Ukraine beyond 2035. Over the course of a highly interactive “lunch-to-lunch” format, we will work collaboratively to shape a resilient and ambitious future using core strategic foresight methods: horizon scanning, trend mapping, scenario development (three horizons), and roadmapping.

Workshop Objectives

By the end of the workshop, participants will have:

  • Applied core strategic foresight methods: horizon scanning, trend mapping, three horizons, and roadmapping.
  • Co-created a plausible scenario for Ukrainian R&I in 2035.
  • Guided tour at the Solaris National Synchroton Radiation Centre.

Mini-Agenda Overview

  • Day 1 (13:00 – 18:00): Welcome and framing, followed by environmental scanning and trend mapping. We will then identify first ideas on a plausible scenario.
  • Day 2 (09:00 – 13:00): Collaborative visioning for Ukraine’s preferred R&I future, followed by roadmapping to translate our vision into concrete milestones. We will conclude with drafting next steps.

If you are interested in taking part, please register here.

Invitation by official invitation only: If you are selected as a participant, you will receive an official invitation at the end of June. For participants from Ukraine: Please use the official invitation letter to apply for permission to travel abroad within the specified period.

Reimbursement of travel costs: We will reimburse travel costs for up to 20 participants. We provide for the days of arrival and departure each a half daily allowance.
